About Us

SCM Construction is a Commercial/Industrial General Contractor. Family owned and operated, SCM began subcontracting in 1958 specializing in drywall and acoustical ceilings. In 1995, SCM began general contracting by providing services such as General Construction, Construction Management, Project Coordination, Project Superintending, Ground Up Building Construction, Demolition, Drywall & Acoustical Ceilings, Doors & Hardware, Painting, Minor Concrete, Dirt Work, Welding, Masonry, & Site Cleanup. All Electrical & Mechanical scopes of work are subcontracted with contractors we have worked with for several years. SCM is licensed in Louisiana; our main office is located in Desoto, Texas.

TINA MITCHELL

PRESIDENT

Tina started working in the construction field in 2001. As the Office Manager of a local HVAC contractor, she learned the ins and outs of running a successful construction company. The four plus years experience Tina has working for a local municipality gives her insight on dealing with the paperwork and permitting requirements for cities. Being an extremely organized and efficient multi-tasker, allows Tina to effectively manage all aspects of SCM Construction Services, LLC.

SAM MITCHELL

VICE PRESIDENT

Samuel; a natural to the industry, was born into the construction field, riding along side his dad to the jobsites as a kid.  Being a people person, he learned at an early age, the process of how to operate a jobsite and a crew with extreme efficiency, keeping the client his No.1 priority. In 1990 he became SCM’s Project Manager superseding all expectations of the client.  Today, he oversees and handles the responsibilities of Construction Management for all SCM projects.

GUY CRUCE

PROJECT MANAGER

Guy began working in the construction field in 1984.  Over the years; gaining recognition and experience in several areas of construction, along with the knowledge of operating heavy equipment. Being a people person, self reliant and a lateral thinker, he worked his way into the supervision of projects.  Starting a business in 1992 in residential remodeling and renovations, Guy began estimating; joining SCM in 2007 as a Project Manager/Estimator.

MIKE THOMPSON

PROJECT ESTIMATOR

In 1968 Mike began working various fields of commercial construction work.  Experience gained through years in the industry; in 1981, he earned a Bachelors of Science in Building Construction and began working as a Construction Engineer.   Transitioning into Estimating and Project Management; Mike joined SCM bringing with him, his experience and expertise in 2008.
